Hi, I'm Deniz. Xeyala started simply because I wanted a way of gifting a memory to a very good friend.

Imagination. A daydream. The vision your mind reaches for when you picture something that isn't there yet.

One small word, carried across a whole region from the Arabic khayāl (خيال). Wherever it travels it keeps the same heart: the place the mind goes to imagine. It even names a centuries-old form of classical music, khayal, built entirely on imagination and improvisation. (In Kurdish, to imagine is xeyal kirin.)

Xeyal is that imagination. Xeyala is the studio we built to give it shape, and to put it in your hands.
